Using this book will improve your understanding of math and have you performing like a genius!

People who excel at mathematics use better strategies than the rest of us; they are not necessarily more intelligent.

Speed Mathematics teaches simple methods that will enable you to make lightning calculations in your head–including multiplication, division, addition, and subtraction, as well as working with fractions, squaring numbers, and extracting square and cube roots. Here’s just one example of this revolutionary approach to basic mathematics:

96 x 97 =

Subtract each number from 100.

96 x 97 =

4 3

Subtract diagonally. Either 96—3 or 97— 4.

The result is the first part of the answer.

96 x 97 = 93

4 3

Multiply the numbers in the circles. 4 x 3 = 12.

This is the second part of the answer.

96 x 97 = 9312

4 3

It’s that easy!

Synopsis:

"Speed Mathematics empowers readers to make complex calculations in the blink of an eye, all by teaching easy strategies for basic arithmetic. Bill Handley's revolutionary and failsafe methods make it fun to do math fast while also significantly reducing mistakes.

To be honest with you, I haven't read the book yet. I only read similar books, discussing the same subject of "mental calculations". Although I haven't read the book yet, the synopsis and the table of contents give you a real thrill!

I know about this book through my unversity library. I put a hold on this item several months ago, this is because it was checked out by someone for so long! The fact that this book was checked out fo so long gives you an impression that it(this book) is, at the worst scenario, enjoying!

What caught my attention when reviewing the table of conent of this book is the following "24. Using What You Have Learned. " Many books of this nature (by the way, books discussing mental calculation are not that many out there!) don't discuss how to use the things we learn!

I'm really looking forward to reading this book. I will definitely start reading it after I'm done with the book I'm reading these days which is , by the way, about mental calculation!
