Okey-dokey, this is my secret weapon when travelling in Italy. It's small and fits in my hand, so I don't look like a doofus when trying to figure out what someone has just said. It's very easy on the eyes, and is really meant for those travelling who need the basic translations for hotels, maids, shops, and restaurants.

Of course, Italia is Italia, so once you get going with what you believe is brilliant dialect, the locals will understand and start trying to speak what they believe is their brilliant English right back to you. And that's how you get around...with your little secret weapon.
