The phenomenon of the must-have accessory—the pashmina shawl and the Fendi baguette, for example—is also considered. revision of the final chapter, on fashion from 1940-2001. First
written for an earlier edition by Amy de la Haye (Victoria & Albert
Museum), it has been revised by Andrew Tucker to include the turn of
the (20th) century trends, including Gucci, Prada, urban sportswear,
and must-have accessories.
