Synopses & Reviews

Publisher Comments:

The beginning of a fantastic new action / adventure series from a twenty-year-old author who knows how to thrill - now in paperback!

Meet a 16-year-old superhuman: Agent Six of Hearts. He's the strongest, most effective agent in the Deck, a team of special agents fighting to uphold justice in a completely corrupt world. Six would be invincible if not for a deadly secret. He is the product of an illegal experiment by the Lab - a ruthless division of the corporation that controls his world. When the Deck begins to investigate the Lab, Six walks a tightrope between his two worlds, trying to keep his origin a secret.

The Lab By Jack Heath

I think The Lab is a great book and is a great book to be an OBOB book. I loved all the action this book had and how aware the main character was to every little thing. I love the main character’s name and how it was his code name, Agent Six of Hearts. It has you always wanting to turn the next page. This book is set in the future and is easy to understand what happens. This book has so many good parts but my favorite is this, “Other people try to kill me on a regular basis. It’s not like your ‘Secret Agent: Interesting Places, New People, Car Chases’ brochure.” I think a good theme for this book, is to be your self.
