Publisher Comments:

Suzanne Collins continues the amazing story of Katniss Everdeen in the phenomenal Hunger Games trilogy.

Against all odds, Katniss Everdeen has won the annual Hunger Games with fellow district tribute Peeta Mellark. But it was a victory won by defiance of the Capitol and their harsh rules. Katniss and Peeta should be happy. After all, they have just won for themselves and their families a life of safety and plenty. But there are rumors of rebellion among the subjects, and Katniss and Peeta, to their horror, are the faces of that rebellion. The Capitol is angry. The Capitol wants revenge.

The "Hunger Games - Catching Fire", is about how the character Katniss goes back home after surviving the Hunger Games with her friend Peeta. She has no idea how she feels about Peeta or Gale - almost as if she has no room for love. Katniss has night mares every night about the gruesome violence of being in the Hunger Games and about Rue. Rue is one of the only friends she had ever had as a girl. She met Rue in the arena and tried to save her life. She sang to Rue when she was dying, for the first time since her father's death and had not ever stopped thinking about her since. Then things got even worse. The Districts started to go against the government. President Coriolanus Snow knows he has to do something and it starts with a K.

The Hunger Games-Catching Fire, is one one of my favorite books, and so it is to the other 100,000 people who have read it. Why have so many people read this book? Maybe it is because this book has everything: action, romance, drama, and of course a great story. If you have already read it, you would already know all of this, but for those of you who haven't, I would go pick it up right now and start reading.

Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins is the second book in the Hunger Games series. The book Catching Fire, like the other books, takes place in Panem. Panem is sort of a take on the future of North America. The Hunger Games is an event that the Capitol puts on every year where they pull kids in their teens from the twelve districts to fight to the death in order to remind the districts that they have total power. I love this series and think you will too. It’s baffling how she thought of this series and how she came up with perfect ways to describe the characters, so try it if you haven’t yet. I won’t spoil the rest for you though.

Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins is an intense novel. The book takes place in District 12, which is the home of Katniss Everdeen. Known as the Girl on Fire, she is a fierce warrior when it comes to the Hunger Games. Katniss has returned home victorious from the last Hunger Games. She isn't the same person; she has killed and seen death and is now rebellious towards the Capitol. With President Snow looking over her shoulder, Katniss tries to be an obedient citizen, but without meaning to, Katniss has become a symbol of rebellion against the Capitol. She battles conflicting feelings for two young men, Peeta and Gale, and tries to protect them. Katniss and Peeta are forced back to fight all the previous victors from the Hunger Games in the Quarter Quell. Is this the Capitol's way of getting rid of her once and for all? This book is full of hatred, love, death, and revenge. If you are a fan of the book The Hunger Games, then Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins is the book for you.
