I was on vacation in Hawaii and brought this fantasy book as a recommendation. I could not put it down, it was very enjoyable. I had not read a good fiction book in years and this was a perfect book to help me step away from the fray. I was happy to discover that there are three more books in this set. I am no longer on vacation but I will continue to follow Paolini's wonderful stories to get my fantasy fix.

I look forward to sharing this series with my eleven year old daughter. Any adult content is extremely tame ( there really was none ),while the overall context is rich with delightful characters. Good for all ages!

While this book was full of action and suspense, I especially appreciated the character development.

being a homeschool mom, i really loved that this was written by a homeschooler- and so young! but what really made me smile is knowing that my mom enjoyed this series so much. she could not put the 1st book down until she finished it at 4 in the morning! she read all 3 very quickly and i can not wait to gift her with #4. great, great job c.p.
