Publisher Comments:

When Rachel Bruner sends out copies of a book critical of the FBI to 10,000 influential people, the agency begins harassing her. Then she hires Nero Wolfe to make them stop, and once he's discovered the bureau's weak spot, he sets in motion a scheme guaranteed to force the FBI to leave both him and Rachel alone.

To read one Nero Wolfe mystery is like eating a Pringle's Potato Chip. They are so addictive, you will be unable to resist another. This novel is one of Rex Stout's classics, where Wolfe, and his associate, Archie Goodwin, take on the FBI, and of course, solve a complex murder. This book, as well as all of his others, take you back to the days when men wore fedoras, and movies were in black and white. Classic mystery writing and highly enjoyable, you will be making a Rex Stout reading checklist when you close the back cover.
