Publisher Comments:

A girl raised by dolphins must choose between two worlds in this critically acclaimed novel about what it means to be a human being.

Synopsis:

FROM WILD CHILD TO....?

Mila creates headlines around the world when she is rescued from an unpopulated island off the coast of Florida. Now a teenager, she has been raised by dolphins from the age of four.

A teenage girl rescued after living with dolphins in the ocean for twelve years. Taken to a research facility where scientists try to teach her to speak and act human. Although she likes learning English, and especially music, her greatest desire is to return to the ocean and the dolphins. A moving story of communication, belonging, and the power of music to open people's hearts and understanding.

This delightful tale explores communication - thru the eyes, ears & body of a child raised by wild dolphins! I empathise with Mila as she tries to understand human speak, reading emotions & thoughts behind the words, & soothes another feral child. I was enchanted!
