Are you an acupuncture student? Patient? Acupuncturist? Thinking about being any of the above? If so, this book is essential reading.

Lisa Rohleder does an excellent job of explaining how acupuncture can help countless people, and she shows you how to run a clinic that makes it possible.

An unabashed examination of class politics in the U.S. and how classism excludes many people from receiving healthcare. By pointing out the elephant in the room that everyone else is busy ignoring, Lisa Rohleder is making great strides to mainstream acupuncture.

Get it. Read it. Share it.

Acupuncture is not an easy art to explain...or so I thought until I read Lisa's book. Using her extensive experience as an acupuncturist, a business owner, and yes, a revolutionary, Lisa does an incredible job pointing out what exactly acupuncture is. More importantly, she explains what acupuncture is for. Is it just another interesting yet impractical healing modality from the past, or can it change the way we look at health care in this country? With a humorous, compassionate and always practical look at community acupuncture and the health care system, Lisa will have you not only wanting to find a community acupuncturist near you, but also to become part of the revolution!

This book should be the first book read by people interested in practicing--or receiving--acupuncture. That's right folks! Acupuncture is not a mysterious secret requiring years of study to understand.

The comparison of acupuncture to noodles makes it easy for readers to think about how acupuncture can really be helpful... make it simple, nurturing and plentiful, like a warm bowl of noodles.

I have read my copy several times and it is getting that worn, well-used look.

The writing is clear and unpretentious. The author generously shares her experience and knowledge, with an obvious genuine wish to spread the movement of community acupuncture (affordable acupuncture in a relaxing, welcoming open space).

Thank you for writing this book!
