Publisher Comments:

From the New York Times bestselling LADYBUG GIRL series comes a new story about the joys of winter and snow day fun.

Lulu and her trusty basset hound Bingo are ready to play outside in the newly fallen snow. They get bundled up and make penguin tracks in the yard. As they spend more time outside, Lulu discovers that it is difficult to walk through deep snow, make a fort where the walls don't crumble, or keep wet snow from falling on her head. This snow day is not going the way she planned, and she's getting frustrated. But then Lulu remembers that she is Ladybug Girl, and Ladybug Girl can do anything! Using her imagination, she turns her frustrated feelings into positive ones, and suddenly, she has lots of new ideas for a snowy day adventure.

LADYBUG GIRL AND THE BIG SNOW is all about overcoming frustration and seeing things in a sparkly new light.

Synopsis:

No book has captured the magic and sense of possibility of the first snowfall better than The Snowy Day. Universal in its appeal, the story has become a favorite of millions, as it reveals a child's wonder at a new world, and the hope of capturing and keeping that wonder forever.

Synopsis:

"In this book sparkling with atmosphere, a small boy experiences the joys of a snowy day. The brief, vividly expressed text points out his new awareness".--The Horn Book. A Caldecott Honor Book. Full color.
