First book of McCammon's that I read and was instantly hooked. Great end times story with twists and turns that go on for miles. Characters were quite enjoyable and to be honest I was a little sad that it was over so quickly.

I read this book several years ago and loaned it to my son and have not seen it since. The story line is very strong, well written and believable. Characters are "human". And the atrocities shown in the theatre, make you uneasy, because they happen every day. A very good read and well worth the time and money spent on it.
