andlt;Bandgt;Run For Your Lifeandlt;/Bandgt; andlt;BRandgt; Jessie lives with her family in the frontier village of Clifton, Indiana, in 1840 — or so she believes. When diphtheria strikes the village and the children of Clifton start dying, Jessie's mother reveals a shocking secret — it's actually 1996, and they are living in a reconstructed village that serves as a tourist site. In the world outside, medicine exists that can cure the dread disease, and Jessie's mother is sending her on a dangerous mission to bring back help. andlt;BRandgt; But beyond the walls of Clifton, Jessie discovers a world even more alien and threatening than she could have imagined, and soon she finds her own life in jeopardy. Can she get help before the children of Clifton, and Jessie herself, run out of time?

A time warp story! Here is an example, imagine you live in the 1920's but its really 2010! Well in this story she has to deal with that fact that she is living in a town that is set in the 1800's! And its actually the late 90's! Can we say crazy!!

Jessie lives in the year 1840 , a simple time. Horses and wagons, lye soap, one room school houses and blacksmithing are all part of Jessie's life.

But when an outbreak of diphtheria in her frontier village puts everyone in danger of dying, Jessie finds out that she alone may be the key to saving the whole town.

And oh, by the way, it hasn't been the year 1840 in 156 years.

This is a mind blowing book that is gripping and adventurous at the same time.
