Synopses & Reviews

Publisher Comments:

Explore twenty-six amazing alphabet worlds, where every picture tells a tale! Meet Alistair, an alligator with an alarming appetite for acrobats; Igor, who sells irresistible...invisible...ice cream; and Holly, happily at home in her handbag. Visit Violet on vacation with a view of a volcano, marvel at Mario's mechanical moustache machine, and daydream with Dot about dainty dump trucks.

Children and adults alike will be delightfully dazzled by Valorie Fisher's creative and imaginative miniature worlds, as they have fun finding familiar objects all the way from A to Z.

Review:

"In its approach and eye-popping execution, this book recalls the I Spy or Look-Alike titles...a soon-to-be-cherished zany cousin." Publishers Weekly

Review:

"Wonderfully retro-looking plastic toys are arranged and photographed in unlikely madcap tableaux in which nearly every object begins with the same letter." Kathie Meizner, School Library Journal

Review:

"The creativity of the phrases...is only outdone by the effort it must have taken to find and arrange the small items that make up the whimsical dioramas....Impressive and innovative." Kirkus Reviews

Review:

"Like the I Spy books, this will provide hours of fun, and children may be tempted to stage their own outrageous scenarios with things found around the house." Ilene Cooper

Synopsis:

Young readers are invited to explore 26 amazing alphabet worlds, where every picture tells a tale. Full-color photos.
