Synopses & Reviews

Publisher Comments:

CHERUB agents are all seventeen and under. They wear skate tees and hemp, and look like regular kids. But they're not. They are trained professionals who are sent out on missions to spy on terrorists and international drug dealers. CHERUB agents hack into computers, bug entire houses, and download crucial documents. It is a highly dangerous job. For their safety, these agents DO NOT EXIST.

James is the latest CHERUB recruit. He and his sister were recently orphaned, and James has been in a lot of trouble. But he is brilliant in math. And CHERUB needs him. After one hundred days, the grueling training period is over. But the adventure has just begun.

Synopsis:

Founded during World War II, the CHERUB organization employed children and teens to spy on the German forces. CHERUB still operates in Britain, with more than 250 agents, all under the age of 17. This new series follows the adventures of these young agents. Original.

This series makes up SEVEN of our top ten most popular books in the middle school library this year (three guesses as to the author of the other three ;-). Kids will read them incessantly and check the web site for the latest publication info, then tell their friends to read them. Lots of action and intrigue, along with a self-empowering message about just how smart and brave kids can be make this series a must read for boys AND girls in the middle years. Also good for reluctant readers.

This book is amazing. My brother recommended it to me and i thought that i may as well give it a try. After the first few pages i was hooked. The storyline and the characters are great. James is an average boy and is someone that you can relate to. I say try it now or you'll not know what you are missing. This book is just like alex rider so if you found them good you'll like this.
