For each strategy, the book provides: brief descriptions of principles and concepts, step-by-step approaches for integrating technologies into the early stages of design, annotated tables and charts to assist with preliminary design sizing, key issues to be aware of when implementing a given strategy, and references to the most recent international standards and rating systems, guidelines, and internet resources.

Educators and practitioners of architecture alike should have this at their side on every project. The Handbook takes the mystery out of the method to integrate sound strategies for all designers aspiring to sustainable solutions. Entries are not without a dose of reality, pointing out in fairness that there are difficulties as well as the benefits in every solution.
Kwok and Grondzik text is concise, clear, and well illustrated. Graphs and charts are information you will actualy use. This should become a desktop classic.
