"4 ½ stars! Top pick!" —RT Book Reviews

Being newlyweds and new parents is challenging enough. But nothing's ever easy for Jeff and Kitty-Katt Martini, particularly not when they have to switch from being super-being exterminators and Commanders in Centaurion Division to mastering the political landscape as the new heads of American Centaurion's Diplomatic Corps.

Kitty's brand of diplomacy and lobbying isn't quite as smooth as Jeff's—but when a shadowy assassination plot and a new set of anti-alien conspirators are identified, Kitty's the diplomat for the job—in between "Mommy and Me," "Diplomacy for Beginners," and the dreaded "Washington Wife" classes. Armed with only their wits, and dressed to kill, it's up to Kitty and the Diplomatic Corps to stop the bad guys from unleashing mayhem on all the world's leaders. But will Kitty trust the right people, at the right times, or will going her own way prove deadly—not just to her, but to her daughter, Jamie?

Alien Diplomacy is the fifth installment of the thrilling Alien novels.

About the Author

Gini Koch lives in the American Southwest, works her butt off (sadly, not literally) by day, and writes by night with the rest of the beautiful people. Touched by an Alien, the first in her Alien/Katherine "Kitty" Katt Series, received a starred review from Booklist and was named one of Booklist's Top Ten adult science fiction and fantasy novels of 2010. Alien Tango released December 7, 2010, with Alien in the Family releasing April 5, 2011, and Alien Proliferation in Winter 2011. Gini started writing as an excuse to stay up late playing on the computer while listening to rock music and mooning over pictures of hunky men. She's thrilled all that drooling has finally paid off. She can be found at ginikoch.com.

‘Alien Diplomacy’ is the fifth book (after ‘Touched By An Alien,’ ‘Alien Tango,’ ‘Alien in the Family’ and ‘Alien Proliferation’) in Gini Koch’s series about the adventures of Katherine “Kitty” Katt-Martini, a former Marketing manager who discovers that space aliens really are secretly living among us. The good news is that they’re good looking and they’re on our side in the fight against evil. The Armani-wearing visitors from Alpha-Centauri " known among themselves as A-Cs " are here to protect us from threats both internal and external.

‘Alien Diplomacy’ is like the other books in that it’s a skillful blend of humor, science fiction, romance, adventure and all-around good times. The plot is an addictive thrill ride, with enough twists, turns and laughs to keep you reading happily for hours on end, constantly surrendering to that ‘just one more page’ impulse. At the same time it’s very much a transitional book for the series as a whole. After four books, Kitty and her A-C husband Jeff and his cousin Christopher have given up their roles as the heads of the A-C operational divisions and have taken the leads as the head diplomats in the A-C Embassy in Washington, DC. Intermixed with all of the fun found in any of Gini Koch’s books is a recurring theme of the difficulties of leaving behind their old roles to take on new responsibilities with which they’re not really comfortable or happy.

But fear not, readers. All of the fun and excitement is still firmly in place. New characters appear (okay…some of them are technically old characters reappearing in newly permanent roles), the Poofs are present and accounted for, baby Jamie-Kat is growing, and the music is still turned up loud. This is an amazingly fun series to read. If you’ve been reading along since the beginning, you’ll want to buy this book. If you’re new to the series, you’ll want to buy the whole series. It’s well worth the investment.
