For me, there's a weird, unfathomable gulf — I almost wrote gulp — between the completion of a novel and its publication. Some days this duration feels interminable, as though the book has... Continue »

Skinny Bitch: A No-Nonsense, Tough-Love Guide for Savvy Girls Who Want to Stop Eating Crap and Start Looking Fabulous Cover

Synopses & Reviews

Publisher Comments:

A no-nonsense, tough-love guide for savvy girls who want to stop eating crap and start looking fabulous! Yes! This is the New York Times bestselling book Victoria "Posh Spice" Beckham has been reading and now you can too!

Not your typical boring diet book, this is a tart-tongued, no-holds-barred wakeup call to all women who want to be thin. With such blunt advice as, "Soda is liquid Satan" and "You are a total moron if you think the Atkins Diet will make you thin," it's a rallying cry for all savvy women to start eating healthy and looking radiant. Unlike standard diet books, it actually makes the reader laugh out loud with its truthful, smart-mouthed revelations. Behind all the attitude, however, there's solid guidance.

Skinny Bitch espouses a healthful lifestyle that promotes whole grains, fruits, and vegetables, and encourages women to get excited about feeling "clean and pure and energized."

Review:

"[T]here's more solid information about health and nutrition in Skinny Bitch than in most diet and health books." Bitch magazine

Review:

"They tell it like it is, and without delicacy." Chicago Sun-Times

Review:

"Don't hate them — be them. The authors of Skinny Bitch offer women a no-holds-barred approach to being thin and fabulous." Metro

Synopsis:

A funny foul-mouthed ode to adopting a vegan diet ("The New York Times Book Review"), the latest work from the authors of the bestselling Skinny Bitch series offers no-nonsense weight-loss advice.

This book was amazing! Tons of information, and even spurred me on my own quest to become vegan and research the health benefits. All I have found over & over again, is that these girls have done their homework, and are giving excellent advice. ANYONE WHO SAYS THIS BOOK IS FOR ANOREXICS OBVIOUSLY DIDN'T GET IT! Do your own research and figure it out yourself. You've obviously been too clouded by the media to understand what "eating healthy" actually is. My eyes have been opened as to how much our government affects what we deem healthy, and what we do not. I adapted the "Skinny Bitch" plan over a month ago, and I am already down 10 pounds, and I've never felt better. And the websites they list in the back have tons of helpful information as well! DEFINITELY check out this book -- it has truly changed my life! :)
