About the Author

Josephine Barbe studied fine arts and textile design at the Hochschule der Künste, in Berlin, where she learned how to work leather. She worked at the leather boutique Art on the Body also in Berlin, where she manufactured clothing, bags, belts and hats made from leather. She is now a scientific fellow at the Technical University, Berlin, where she lectures and holds seminars about textile manufacturing. She also offers seminars at her own workshop and participates in textile shows internationally.
