When it comes to preserving, Ball really did write the book on it. This is a perfect choice for the beginner who wants a well-rounded introduction to safe preserving. There are a limited amount of pictures, but, hey, I know what a jar of pickles looks like! Recommended by Tracey, Powell's City of Books
