About the Author

Bruce Fogle, DVM, MRCVS, has been in veterinary practice for over 30 years. During this time, he founded Europe's first emergency and critical care clinic. In the 1980's, with Beatrice Wright, he co-founded Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, the largest charity of its kind in the world. With Stacey Estrella, he is co-founder of the web site Pogopet.com. Bruce is also a noted writer and broadcaster. His many books on dog care and behavior, including Know Your Dog, the ASPCA Complete Dog Care Manual, Natural Dog Care, the Dog Breed Handbook series, and the New Encyclopedia of the Dog, all published by Dorling Kindersley, are published in more than 35 languages, making him the world's bestselling practicing veterinarian.
