Lyrical, haunting, rambling, poetic - Harrison had me from the cover art, actually. The story of death by Lou Gehrig's Disease is actually a story of dignity. grief, the healing powers of love and nature. I love Jim Harrison and this is my favorite. It changed my thought processes regarding dying - that is a powerful gift.
