Sing Them Home is a moving portrait of three siblings who have lived in the shadow of unresolved grief since their mothers disappearance when they were children. If you're not a fan of novels with dead people talking, give this one a try anyway. It reminded me of Thornton Wilder's "Our Town," in the way that the longings and the regrets of our lives seem to echo across generations. "Sing Them Home" is a full and heartbreaking/heartwarming saga of a small Welsh-American town in Nebraska —quirky, prickly characters; serious weather; love and loss; and the sweet sound of Welsh choral tradition that pulls and holds the community together.
