Publisher Comments:

International bestselling artist Brian Froud and New York Times bestselling author John Matthews come together for the first time to create a spectacular interactive book that opens the doors to the enchanted world of Faerie. How does one discover faeries in one's backyard or a garden, forest, or meadow?

Through insets, hidden messages, magical signs, reflective mirrors, and other paper mechanics, Froud and Matthews reveal how anyone may discover the way to the land of Faerie. All you need is to believe and to own this book!

He also served as the conceptual designer on two of Jim Henson's films, The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth.

How to See Faeries is not so much a book to be read as it is a book to be experienced. The art is by Brian Froud, and fans of his work will be delighted by the images, popups, foldouts, pullouts and other faerie tricksiness to be found, starting with the cover. Froud, along with Alan Lee, created the fantasy groundbreaking book Faeries in 1978, and is also known for Lady Cottington's Pressed Fairy Book, Good Faeries/Bad Faeries and Brian Froud's World of Faerie.

Most of the words are by John Matthews (both authors contribute their own introduction), who has written more than sixty books about King Arthur, the Grail, folklore and myth. His words appear as part of the art of each page spread, each of which should be both read and looked at in detail.

Don't just read How to See Faeries - absorb it.
