Swede, September 20, 2011 (view all comments by Swede)
As I move into the 74th year of my life, I pick up any page in "Ballistics" by Billy Collins and find the line "Crashing through the iron gates of life is what it is all about" and reflect on the September 17 murder of my nephew Sean. He did just that and died trying to get funds to send for his wife in the Philippines. He "drained the cup of life to the dregs" so I am strangely comforted.

Poetry by Collins is healing. Don't miss this collection. You can't forget his lines, his meaning.
