About the Author

Miles F. Potter was born in eastern Oregon in 1895; his grandparents on both sides came to Oregon in the 1860s.  A graduate of Washington State University and a pharmacist he retired to John Day Vally Oregon and pursued his other interest; writing of Oregon's rich history.
