Excellent book! This book clearly displays the need for systems to evolve and change with the times. I would recommend this book to anyone who is serious about their studies in the arts.

Of course I do have a interest in this system, I've studied as a student of Prof. Jay's from 1974-1999 when he retired and am now with Prof. Eichelberger (Prof. Jay's most senior, still active student). This book best showes how we ajust to changing martial arts, how to apply principals that work in JuJitsu to other martial arts. Prof. Jay has said that martial art needs change with times "You wouldn't fight World War 2 with World War 1 weapons". And to parphase another of Wally's quotes; A model T will get you where you want to go, but a new car is much more effecient. I approve of this book and think any martial arts instructor or student would find it of some value in their studies.
