I am a trained biologist howbeit from the East Coast. This reference is very current in the latest trends in nomenclature as well as easy reading. Sometimes you forget it is a reference book and read it like a novel of the great outdoors.

The present version is not as "backpack friendly" as the first edition was but nevertheless is worth finding room for.
