Priscilla, November 2, 2006 (view all comments by Priscilla)
Judy has a beautiful command of words, allowing her to vividly describe growing up in a desolate part of northeastern Montana. Her senses of humor and self-deprecation flow through her stories of childhood, teenhood and adulthood and her struggle to understand her "place" in her family and the tightly-knit community.

She brings back memories of my own search, and I ache for both of us.
