great book! if this doesn't get you off the couch and on a hike, i don't know what will! :) a very helpful book for hikers of all levels.

Sullivan's book is the classic guide to the nearly indescribable beauty of the Cascade and Gorge hikes of northwest Oregon and southwest Washington.

This newly updated edition has improvements over earlier editions, not just in updated trail and access descriptions, but with the addition of entirely new trails and a few scratches as well.

The beginner or new-to-the-area hiker will find accurate descriptions to make planning much easier. The old hand will realize our northwest forests change dramatically with storm and fire events: buying this newest edition is necessary if you want to keep up with our evolving landscape.

Sullivan is a great trail companion!
