About the Author

Justus Ballard is a writer, editor, and teacher living in Portland, Oregon. He received his MFA in Creative Writing from Antioch University, and in 2004 he received the Friends of Lake Oswego Library William Stafford Fellowship from Oregon's Literary Arts for a novel in progress. He is the fiction editor of Gertrude. He is currently working on a rock opera about the legislative branch of the US government.
