About the Author

Dr. Wayne Coates is Professor Emeritus in the Office of Arid Lands Studies at the University of Arizona, and is perhaps the world's foremost educator on chia seeds. He was among the first to grow chia experimentally and later for commercial purposes. Dr. Coates is the co-author, with Ricardo Ayerza, of Chia: Rediscovering a Forgotten Crop of the Aztecs. He lives in Prescott, Arizona.

I randomly found this little trove of chia information at my local library, and after renewing the books due date for the third time I knew it was time to see if Powell's had it for me to buy! Very informative, easy to read in short or long bursts, great recipes and guidance and encouragement. Really looking forward to having this book permanently on our home shelf.
