About the Author

Larbi Oukada is Professor in the Department of World Languages and Cultures in the School of Liberal Arts and an Adjunct Professor in the School of Education at Indiana University ? Purdue University Indianapolis. He has a Ph.D. in linguistics from Louisiana State University, and his research and publications focus on second language acquisition and international education. He is the author of Louisiana French: Linguistic Annotated Bibliography, and ENTRE AMIS, a beginning-level French program.Didier Bertrand is Associate Professor of French in the Department of World Languages and Cultures at Indiana University ? Purdue University Indianapolis. He holds a Ph.D. in French from the University of Iowa, and his research and publications focus on the retellings of the Robinson Crusoe story and second language acquisition. He is the author of several articles on twentieth century French fiction, the author of Test Yourself in French Grammar, and co-author of the ENTRE AMIS workbook.Janet Solberg is Associate Professor of Romance Languages and Literature at Kalamazoo College in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She received her Ph.D. in French from the University of Minnesota in 1988. Her main areas of interest are 16th century French short narrative, francophone literature (especially the literatures of sub-Saharan Africa and Asia), intercultural communication, and second language acquisition.
