Synopsis:

Two midwives present the What to Expect When You're Expecting for homebirths—with a Foreword by Dr. Christiane Northrup.

When Dr. Northrup learned Jane and Jodilyn were writing a book about homebirths, she enthusiastically gave it her seal of approval and said, “There is a huge need for this book, and there is nothing currently available on the market for this population.” For the more than 4 million pregnant women in the U.S. each year, The Essential Homebirth Guide is an empowering, joyous, and informative guide to pregnancy and homebirth—the only up-to-date, comprehensive book dedicated to this subject.

With its convenient Question and Answer format, complete with stories from real mothers sharing their birthing experiences, this covers all there is to know about at-home delivery. From the history of homebirth, to the expectations during pregnancy, to exactly how to prepare the house for the big day, this is the definitive guide for any woman considering or planning a homebirth.
