Publisher Comments:

Intermediate glass artists can advance to the next level with this comprehensive warm glass go-to. It reaches beyond the basics with a range of fabulous, richly complex techniques: using molds made from plaster, rubber, resin, and clay; incorporating sandblasting, drilling, and cutting into multiple-firing projects; and adapting tools and materials from other crafts. More than half the projects don't require access to a studio or unusual equipment, and there's a section on “beyond the kiln” collaborations with a glassblower.

Synopsis:

With this comprehensive workbench guide, acclaimed artist Brenda Griffith takes kiln-formed glass to the next level. From cast glassing and cold working to adapting unusual tools and materials, she covers a range of advanced techniques that glass crafters need to know. In addition to beautiful projects and stunning gallery images, information on best studio practices and a and#8220;beyond the kilnand#8221; section make this indispensible.

This book offers clear instructions for amazingly creative new ways to work with fused glass. This truly is a great next step if you want to expand you work with this fun medium. The author pulls in lots of different disciplines including ceramics, pastels, and even 3d printing! This book was everything I was hoping for when I bought it.
