Mike Allred is one of the hottest comics writers-artists to come along in years! His unique style, and his unique character, Madman, have earned him the attention of such diversified media as Blur, Hypno Magazine, The Washington Times, Spin, and The New York Times, which described his storytelling as "animated by a manic, popart delight in mass-culture".

Allred brings his talent to The Superman/Madman Hullabaloo!, a 96-page adrenaline cocktail that's equal parts of both heroes. In each of their respective universes, Superman and Madman are involved in scientific experiments, the results of which propel the unsuspecting superbeings into one another's world. The only thing is, each takes half of the other with him--creating two confused heroes and one big Hullabaloo! It's wackier than red kryptonite and more bizarre than Bizarro when two worlds get an even stranger visitor from another planet--Supermadman!

Back before Mike Allred sold his soul to Marvel, he doted lovingly on a character he created called Madman. Team-ups are usually lame affairs, with plot lines as thin as the paper they're printed on, but this one works because Allred cares: the story is great fun, the art first rate. Madman's big showdown with Mr. Mxyzptlk - playing Twister - is inspired silliness.
