About the Author

Erik Pema Kunsang (Erik Hein Schmidt) is one of the world’s best known and most accomplished translators of Buddhist literature from Tibet. With his wife, Marcia Binder Schmidt, he founded and heads Rangjung Yeshe Publications, an independent publisher of Vajrayana Buddhist texts in English. His books include: As It Is, the Mirror of Mindfulness, Lamp of Mahamudra, The Light of Wisdom, and Dakini Teachings. Other projects include translating over forty volumes of Tibetan texts and teachings, and creating the Dharma Dictionary, an electronic dictionary of Tibetan and English terms.
