About the Author

Just a regular kid with a passion for horses, Clinton grew up in Australia with the desire to learn how to effectively develop the horse/human relationship. From the very start of his career, he never lost sight of his dream--helping people better communicate with their horses. Lucky to have a family that supported his passion, Clinton's grandparents bought him his first horse at age nine. As a teenager Clinton was dedicated to the sport of polocrosse. When he was 15 he started an apprenticeship with nationally acclaimed horse trainers Gordon McKinlay and later, Ian Francis. After starting over 600 horses under the tutelage of his mentors, Clinton started his own training facility in Australia where he broke horses to ride and reformed problem horses. In 1996 he traveled to the United States and apprenticed with Al Dunning. In 2000, he took a huge gamble, becoming the first clinician to develop and launch an hour long, specifically "made for¬-TV" weekly training program on RFD TV. In 2003 and 2005, Clinton won the prestigious "Road to the Horse" colt starting competition with a focus on educating the audience by demonstrating what's possible if you have a solid training foundation. Now based in Stephenville, Texas, Clinton continues to pursue his core purpose of "Inspiring the Dreams of Horsemen." Not only is he a respected trainer in his own right, but he's a gifted teacher as well. Hundreds of horse owners travel to the Downunder Horsemanship Ranch each year to attend Fundamentals, intermediate and Advanced level clinics where they learn to excel their horsemanship. But the best testament of Clinton's unique ability to teach and the depth of the Method itself is his Professional Clinicians. Clinton Anderson Professional Clinicians spend years studying the Downunder Horsemanship Method and routinely travel the country teaching horse owners how to effectively communicate with their horses. Clinton conducts standing room only tours where he brings crowds to their feet explaining the benefits of the Method and demonstrating the incredible bond that can be established between horse and human. Throughout it all, Clinton's passion for learning and helping people improve their horsemanship has never wavered.
