That most Americans, especially children, are over-fed but mal-nourished was not news to me, but for folks who assume that healthy food comes in General Mills or Nestle packages or who think that the government is watching out for our children's health, this is a must-read.
I was impressed with the research she provided to support her thesis that it's not just a question of mal- or under-nourishment, but of actually being both physically and mentally poisoned and harmed by this rush to efficiency, convenience, and profits for the "food" processors.

This is a facinating look at the food American children eat and what is -- and is not -- in that food. Every parent needs to read this book to help their child make wise food choices including having enough nutrients.
