Synopsis:

Sarah Powers is widely known for her original ideas and techniques for using yoga both for health and spiritual growth. Demonstrated by the author in beautiful photographs, the poses balance gentle stretches with dynamic moves for ultimate benefit to organs, muscles, joints, and tendons. This is a must-have title for yin yoga fans! Powers presents tradtional chinese medicine theory linked to yoga sequences that stimulate and tone each meridian. Each sequence is laid out in easy to follow photo spreads, with details given within each chapter.

For those unfamiliar with yin yoga, it focuses on gently stretching connective tissue, allowing for greater ease of movement in the hips and spine. If you've been frustrated while trying to increase your flexibility, connective tissue work may be the answer.

This is hands-down the most comprehenisive volume on Yin yoga.
