This is a wonderful book with gorgeous illustrations of densely planted, naturualisic gardens. Native plants and exotics are co-mingled in dense profusion to create a lush and effusive celebration of botanical delights.

In some locals, the code enforcement officers dread these types of gardens, seeking to force homeowners to maintain a carefully groomed and artificial look. But if you love the outdoors, the wilderness, privacy and wildlife, this book demonstrates the beauty of a garden that approaches a jungle or forest, replete with thick canopies, masses of bloom, luxuriant foliage and mysterious hidden spots.

It also shows the effective use of man-made items, such as old rusty bicycles, golf balls, and other eccentric items placed in a garden to add interest and the unexpected.
