Brandon Mull has grown as a writer, and this penultimate is an outstanding addition to the series. I read all 527 pages in one day, because, just like the others who commented, I couldn't put it down! Like Harry Potter, the characters in Fablehaven take on lives of their own, and you feel you know them as intimate friends. I especially enjoyed the line, "You shouldn't roughhouse with satyrs," Grandma chided. Exactly what I would say to my mischievous grandson were I the caretaker of a Preserve for Magical Creatures!

Six months ago a friend told me about this series and it sounded like something that my soon to be 12 year old daughter would like to read! I bought the first book for her birthday and after reading the first one, she couldn't wait to get her hands on the rest of the series. Well... after she told me a little bit about the books I started to read the first book and then the second one… I couldn’t put any of them down! I've read all three! Now, I find myself asking my daughter "when does the fourth book come out?" It's a great series! I very much recommend it to anyone who can handle a 400-500 page book! I actually felt intimidated by the fatness of the book! I didn't think I'd have the time or the interest to read it, but I couldn't put the books down! I found myself making time to read. Honestly, if I can read it, you can read it!!! I think the title of the fourth book sounds great! It sounds mysterious and intrigues my curiosity! It's just what I was hoping for - something about Dragons! My daughter and I are excited to read it! (We'll be fighting over who gets the book first!)
