About the Author

Lukas Volger began to garner fans, readers, and media attention with his first book, Veggie Burgers Every Which Way. He has worked for many years at food establishments in New York City and in his native Idaho as a baker, caterer, prep cook, server, and occasional dishwasher. He lives in Brooklyn, New York.

This book is fantastic! I'm vegetarian and love veggie burgers, but I wanted to be able to make my own so I know what's in them. Obviously this is the perfect book for that. What's wonderful are all the different varieties of burgers you can make with the recipes provided. I've tried most of the recipes in the book and they are so delicious. I've tried other recipes for veggie burgers online, but the burgers always fell apart. These, on the other hand, always hold their shape and are never dry or crumbly.

Plus, the book also provides recipes for rolls, salads, fries, condiments, and toppings! This book is great! So, if you're looking for delicious vegetarian burger recipes, I highly recommend this book.

Good stuff. I rarely eat veggie burgers any more these days because they are almost always a disappointment. Volger's recipes however are really inspired, like the Corn Burgers with Sun-Dried Tomatoes and Goat Cheese and the Tuscan white bean burger. Flavorful and they hold their shape. I didn't even dress them up as burgers, but rather served them on their own with a side salad. Delicious and light, no regrets when you eat two.
