About the Author

Astrid Karlsen Scottis a native of Norway, began her serious investigation into the story of Jan Baalsrud in 1997. She is internationally known for her books on Norwegian culture. She is president of Nordic Adventures, a company dedicated to the promotion of Norwegian culture. She and her husband live in Olympia, Washington.Dr. Tore Haugis the second cousin of Jan Baalsrud. He is a specialized general practitioner with a private practice in Norway and has practiced medicine in both Germany and Norway. He and his wife live in Jessheim, Norway.
