About the Author

Beth Greenfield, native to New Jersey, has written about NYC for the 15 years (and counting) that she has lived there including neighborhoods such as Chelsea, Park Slope, the East Village and Boerum Hill. Settled, for now, on the Upper West Side, she is a writer and editor for Time Out New York, and writes for the New York Times and Out Traveler. Her articles have appeared in Esquire, the Village Voice and Out. Beth has written Lonely Planet guides, such as the previous edition of New York City as well as Miami & the Keys, Mexico and USA. She lives with her partner, Kiki, and fat cat, Elijah.
