An excellent read for those who enjoy the Warhammer 40,000 universe, as well as those who enjoy military sci-fi in general. Builds on the good start of the series ("Horus Rising" by Dan Abnett).

The twists and turns of the plot, as well as the excellent descriptions and deep characters really drag you into the tragedy of the greater story arc.
