Anzaldua combines poetry, cultural criticsm, and history to describe the borderlands of those who live between Mexico and the defined "U.S." The concept of the borderlands that devide race, language, gender, and sexual orientation is amazingly woven together and provides an historic and artistic look at culture on the physical and spiritual spaces that devide us.
