Our state-by-state field guides--the first and the best

Compare our best-selling field guides to the imitators on the market:

- our full-page photos are incomparable: crisp, sharp photos of birds in their natural habitats

- we include insets of winter plumage, color morphs and more

- our organization by color is easily accessible to the beginner: there's no need to know the bird's name or classification in order to find it easily

- if the male and female birds of the same species are different colors, they're on separate pages; you won't overlook them

- using our field guides is a real pleasure: no more struggling to identify and learn about the birds in your state

I decided after buying a bird feeder and seeing how many types of birds came to feed to start learning the names of them all since none of them were wearing their nametags. I tried one other book and online but found I had to know what kind of bird it was before I could see if I was right. With Birds of Oregon I can flip to the corresponding color marked on the outside pages with the birds at my feeder and easily identify them. With one bird I was still a bit unsure but the description of its flight pattern was so dead on I was able to differentiate it from another I thought it might have been. If I drop this copy into a birdbath I'll rplace it with the same thing.
