Synopses & ReviewsPublisher Comments:For this collection, Graziano selected the strongest work from his three previously-published chapbooks, revised and updated the poems when he felt it was necessary, and then added a section of new work. About the AuthorNathan Graziano was born on March 28, 1975 in Warwick, Rhode Island. He attended Plymouth State College in Plymouth, New Hampshire, where he graduated with a B.A. in English. Along the way he worked dozens of menial jobs including dishwasher, waiter, cook, house cleaner and pizza delivery boy. In 1999 he left the East Coast for Las Vegas, Nevada, where he accepted a position as a high school English teacher. After a long year of bang-ups at the blackjack tables, he decided to continue his teaching career in New Hampshire where blackjack is, thankfully, not permitted by law. He currently resides in Concord, New Hampshire, with his wife, Liz. They are expecting their first child in the summer of 2003. Graziano's poetry and fiction have appeared throughout the small presses. He's the author of three chapbooks, A Night At The O'Aces (Phony Lid Publications, 1999), No White Horses (Green Bean Press, 2000), and Seasons From The Second Floor (Green Bean Press, 2001). In 2002 his collection of interconnected short stories, Frostbite, was released by Green Bean Press to critical and reader acclaim. Not So Profound is a collection of the best work from Graziano's first three chapbooks (some of the poems being revised) as well as new work from 2001 to the present.
