About the Author Jackson, New Hampshire resident Nicholas Howe grew up in the shadows of the White Mountains. A journalist for over 18 years, he has reported for ABC, NBC, CBS, and ASPS television networks, and ABC, National Public, BBC, and Swiss National radio networks.Additionally, his work has appeared in newspapers and magazines including Backpacker.
