Synopses & Reviews

Review:

"This is insane. I mean sort of literally mentally insane. I am worried about Mykle (Marvin?). His newest humorsidious (humorous and insidious) creation is like a cartoon that threatens to come alive and molest you." --Kevin Sampsell, Powell's Small Press Dept.

Review:

"Brilliant, poignant, and utterly hilarious.  Nobody can satirize American culture as well as Mykle Hansen."
-- Carlton Mellick III, author of SatanBurger

Synopsis:

Trapped in a remote Alaskan forest, pinned under his own SUV, gnawed upon by nature's finest predators, Marv Pushkin — Corporate Warrior, Positive Thinker, Esquire subscriber — waits impatiently for an ambulance and explains in detail the many reasons why this unfolding tragedy is everyone's fault but his own.

Based on Mr. Hansen's amazing book trailer, viewable here: http://vimeo.com/2150064, I have a greater sense of pathos and grasp the tone of the comi-tragedy which are bear-human confrontations in the wild. A fine read. Thirteen chapters muttered by an awful man being slowly devoured feetfirst by a fairly nice bear. Brilliant!
